ScrapIt Pro History:

This section describes changes to each version of ScrapIt Pro and its date of release.

• 1.0    (1992)  Initial release of ScrapIt
• 1.1  Fixed problem with pasting non-styled text.
• 1.2  Fixed Find problem.
• 2.0    (8/10/94)  Added new features (new thumbnail list, pop-up scrap type, new import capabilities, printing of PICTs and TEXT items now supported, Files popup menu, QuickTime™ Movie Support, etc.).
• 2.01    (11/15/94)  Fixed bug that reared its ugly head only after Apple’s SimpleText application decided to put 2 copies of the same TEXT onto the clipboard! I hate it when that happens!
• 2.02    (11/28/94)  Another minor fix (with printing).
• 2.03    (12/2/94)  Fixed major System 7.5 bug!
• 3.00    (12/28/94)  Major upgrade, added sort, import multiple, new interface, print list or thumbnail list of entire scrap file, and more!  Changed name from ScrapIt ][ DA to ScrapIt Pro.
• 3.10    (1/16/95)  Added Drag & Drop support, speeded up pict scrolling and fixed a few bugs along the way!
• 3.11    (1/19/95)  Fixed a bug that would sometimes show up if you had a picture showing and would switch views. I hate when that happens!
• 3.12    (1/23/95)  Fixed minor scrap item name bug that would not save the scrap items name after editing a text item in certain circumstances.
• 3.2    (2/7/95)  Fixed bug found when running After Dark™ and System 7.5, also fixed a bug that wouldn't show the scrap files available upon startup in certain circumstances.  Added new registration dialog to allow filling out the form from within ScrapIt Pro. Also added the ability to search through scrap item names.
• 3.3    (3/1/95)  Added these features; Speech Manager support, Sound recording, changeable background colors, type priority.
• 4.0    (5/27/95)  Major upgrade, ScrapIt Pro is now an application! Can now open multiple documents. Each scrap file can have it’s own characteristics such as color, type priority, sorting, etc.
• 4.01    (5/29/95)  Fixed a minor bug that would not allow you to scroll a picture if the option “Option-click to drag & drop” was not checked in the preferences dialog without holding down the option key.
• 4.1    (7/7/95)  Added View menu for available windows, added a lasso tool for picture selection, added new font sizes, added the files pop-up menu to each window, also fixed a problem that would occur in rare circumstances if there were a power outage while a scrap file was opened that had been changed, the file could become corrupted.
